# Fluency Security, Privacy, and Compliance Overview

> What data Fluency accesses, how it is stored and protected, and where to find compliance and security documentation for regulated industries.

Fluency is built for enterprise environments where security, data governance, and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable. This page summarizes how Fluency handles your data and where to find detailed compliance documentation.

## What data does Fluency access

Fluency captures workflow activity signals — process steps, timing, handoffs, and team context — to build process maps. It does not store transactional business data, personal customer records, or financial data. The platform analyzes patterns in how work flows, not the content of the work itself.

This means Fluency builds a structural view of your processes — which steps occur, in what order, how long each takes, and where handoffs happen — without ingesting the underlying records, documents, or data payloads involved in that work.

## Data storage and residency

Fluency uses enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure designed for availability, durability, and security. Workflow activity signals are stored and processed in Fluency's managed environment.

For specific data residency requirements — such as data stored within a particular geographic region or jurisdiction — contact your implementation team. Fluency can address these requirements as part of your enterprise configuration.

## Security practices

Fluency applies multiple layers of security across the platform:

* **Encryption in transit** — All data transmitted between your environment and Fluency is encrypted using TLS.
* **Encryption at rest** — Data stored within the Fluency platform is encrypted at rest using industry-standard algorithms.
* **Access controls and role-based permissions** — Within the platform, access to workflows, opportunities, and initiatives is governed by role-based permissions. Administrators control which users can view or act on which data.
* **Audit logging** — Platform actions — including logins, configuration changes, and agent interactions — are captured in audit logs, giving your security team a complete record of activity.

## Compliance resources

Fluency's full compliance documentation is available at [trust.usefluency.com](https://trust.usefluency.com), including:

* Security certifications
* Data processing agreements (DPA)
* Privacy policy
* Sub-processor list

If your procurement or legal team requires specific documentation, the Trust Center is the authoritative source. You can download agreements and policies directly from that portal.

## Regulated industries

<Note>
  If you operate in a regulated industry — including financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing — your implementation team can walk you through Fluency's data handling model and provide any documentation required for your compliance review. Reach out to your implementation contact or email [support@usefluency.com](mailto:support@usefluency.com) to arrange a compliance briefing.

## Reporting a security concern

If you believe you've found a security vulnerability in Fluency, contact [support@usefluency.com](mailto:support@usefluency.com) with a detailed description of the issue, including the steps to reproduce it and the potential impact. Do not share vulnerability details in public channels, forums, or issue trackers — report them directly and privately so the team can investigate and respond appropriately.
